Porsche 997.1 Carrera S track car

2008 Porsche 997.1 Carrera S with 6-speed manual, in midnight blue exterior, that has been converted into a dedicated track car for HPDE and time trial events (no racing or wheel to wheel action). This car provides an excellent learning platform with relatively low maintenance. Professionally maintained, serviced, and stored by Vail Motorsports, who are known for building winning Porsche racecars.

Strong, reliable naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six rebuilt by 911 Design for track use, with the addition of a deep sump oil pan, improved IMS bearing, and new light-weight flywheel, allowing the 6-speed manual gearbox very smooth and effortless shifting. A 3rd radiator has also been installed in center front grill for additional cooling.

Custom welded full roll cage with side door bars has been installed, and a light-weight carbon fiber roof added. Interior has been stripped for weight reduction, along with door windows removed (metal door shell with mirror). Has an OMP quick disconnect racing steering wheel, and racing seat with 5-point racing safety belt harness. The suspension is enhanced with MCS coilover adjustors, and wheels upgraded to Apex SM-10 light-weight wheels – 18”x9″ ET46 on front and 18”x12” ET65 on rear.
