Porsche 987 SPC Race Car For Sale – 987.2 PDK Conversion / 3.8L X51 Engine

NEVER RACED… ONE WEEKEND SINCE BUILD COMPLETION

This Porsche 987 race car was originally completed in 2024 as a 987.1 built specifically for the Porsche Club of America (PCA) SPC class. Following the initial post-build shakedown, the original engine experienced a failure. After repair, the same issue occurred again, prompting the decision to take the car to a completely different specification.

In 2025, the car underwent a complete engine management, engine, and transmission conversion, removing the 987.1 components and upgrading the car to 987.2 specification.

The car now features:

  • 3.8L 997.2 X51 engine
  • PDK transmission
  • 987.2-spec ECU and engine management
  • KMP PDK steering wheel with paddle shifters
  • Suspension and brake upgrades built to the PCA SPC rules package
  • Gearbox cooler
  • Power steering cooler
  • MoTeC C125 data system
  • Numerous additional upgrades

The result is a thoroughly updated 987 race car combining the existing SPC-spec suspension and brake package with a 3.8L X51 engine and PDK drivetrain.

NOTE: Photos shown are from the car’s original completion. Since these photos were taken, the car has been updated with the PDK gearbox, 3.8L X51 engine, and KMP PDK steering wheel with paddles.

The car has never been raced and has completed only one weekend since the build was completed. The paint and components are all fresh.
