2015 Ariel Atom SRA
This 2015 Ariel Atom SRA is #79 in a series of Spec: Race Atom (SRA) track cars built for the 2015 model year by TMI AutoTech Inc. of Alton, Virginia. Fresh pads and rotors along with new battery its ready to rip. The car is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four mated to a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The chassis is finished in black and equipment includes an exterior lighting kit, a MOMO steering wheel, digital dashboard display, an oil cooler, a Wilwood pedal set and brakes, QA1 adjustable dampers, Kirkey bucket seats. Current wheels are magnesium and produced by Dymag. I will include two extra sets of factory wheels as well. This Ariel Atom SRA now has 5,034 miles and is offered on a bill of sale in Florida with two additional set of wheels and tires and a TMI AutoTech Inc build Specification Sheet.
The tubular chassis features an integrated roll bar and side padding, and this example is finished in black with Honda Racing decals. It is equipped with an external electrical cutoff, dual mirrors, and rain lights, and the seller has fitted license plate brackets as well as a headlight and tail light kit. I added the Nine Lives racing rear spoiler for additional downforce.
QA1 adjustable dampers with coilover springs are fitted at each corner, and stopping power is provided by four-piston Wilwood calipers with slotted rotors. The brake calipers and pads were recently replaced she is ready to go.
Fixed-back black Kirkey racing seats are equipped with six-point Sabelt harnesses, and a fire extinguisher is mounted to the floor. Additional equipment includes a restraint net, a Delrin shift knob, a GoPro camera mount, and a Wilwood pedal set and brake bias controller.
The three-spoke microsuede-trimmed MOMO steering wheel frames a Race Technology DASH2 digital display with inset shift lights.
The Honda-sourced 2.4-liter K24Z7 inline-four sends power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The car features a stainless-steel exhaust system along with an oil cooler fitted with dual fans, an upgraded radiator, a Fumoto oil drain valve, and an SRA-specification fuel tank. I run it on Sunoco 260 GTX unleaded ethanol free race gas but you can use regular pump as well.
Chassis number SRA0079 is shown above, and the Build Specification Sheet from TMI AutoTech Inc. is provided in the gallery below. Long story short this thing is a little sewing machine on the track. It’s extremely light, you never wear out tires or brakes and its the most cost effective track weapon that can keep up with cup cars at fraction of the price and upkeep cost.
