The Sebeco NP01-EVO compares directly to the Radical 1340 XXR in terms of lap times and driving experience. At tracks like Road Atlanta and Mosport, it posts lap times comparable to a GT4 race car but at a fraction of the cost. It is powered by a Mazda engine and uses the same sequential transmission found in F4 cars. Service intervals are significantly longer and less expensive than those of the Radicals; the engine requires a rebuild every 15,000 miles and the transmission every 10,000 miles. Suspension components are interchangeable, and the brakes and wheels are identical at all four corners. Originally designed by Elan Technologies, the car is based on a Formula 2000 chassis but features a much more spacious cockpit. Maintenance is exceptionally easy, as access to the suspension, engine, and transmission components is straightforward; all body panels can be removed in under 10 minutes. Operating costs are among the lowest—if not the absolute lowest—relative to the lap times achieved. The car is very exciting to drive and with its no-lift shifting experience it always makes you smile.
The car was prepped with endurance racing in mind although it was intended to race sprint races only, making the services intervals much longer while doing so.
