The Maserati GranTurismo MC GT3 was built by Maserati Racing in collaboration with the Swiss Team for international

GT racing. Only three cars were built, driven by drivers such as current Ferrari works driver and Le Mans overall winner

Alessandro Pier Guidi, who won the final race of the car’s debut season. The cars were highly advanced and were

discontinued only when Ferrari redirected its budget toward the development of the 458 GT3.

This chassis was driven by Mauro Calamia in the GT Open racing series with the start number 33.

The car was developed using a Trofeo chassis and engine. The chassis was made lighter, and the fuel tank was moved

from the rear to the rear seats. The suspension was improved over the Trofeo version by using aluminum instead of steel

components. A wider track was also chosen. The engine is controlled by a Motec M800 ECU. The entire body of the

vehicle is made of carbon fiber, bringing the total weight down to just 1,230 kg.

Swiss Team, a well-known Maserati expert, used to drive Quattroporte racing cars in the Italian Superstars series and

won the championship with Andrea Bertolini.
