I have an excellent guy for the job.So why did I buy this? I initially was looking at Porsche cup cars. After finding out it has the operating expense of a Cirus jet, I immediately changed course. Being a lifelong Mopar guy I remember Dodge made a limited run of these cars (50 in total) and after doing some research, I found out they’re essentially bulletproof with no crazy operating hours like most race cars. Parts were readily available, and it was only slightly slower lap time wise than the initial car (Cup car) I was looking at. After finding this car locally by a very knowledgeable Viper guy named Mike, I immediately pulled the trigger. He was very OCD like I was, and knew all of the history on the car and took great care of it.So why am I selling? Two reasons really. First and foremost I have a garage that is being built at the track where i’m a member at. It will be done in about 12 months. I’m simply out of space at my current shop and have no place to store the car. It’s being stored at the track right now for $650 a month, so I’d like to not pay that anymore. Second reason (most important) is myself and a few other guys were going to enter the race series in GTU class. All of the guys who were initially interested in doing this abandoned their plans and went into other classes (thanks guys.)This car is an absolute blast to drive. It’s well planted, predictable and lightning fast around the track. I really don’t want to sell it, but for the reasons listed above, it’s time to move on.Car needs NOTHING and is truly ready to race now.
